“Immanuel Bible Church’s Music Ministry (Springfield, VA, USA) was blessed to serve twice (so far) in Trinidad. We love to team with God’s servants at TTUM. They are devoted to sharing His word throughout the beautiful island! We provided music, bible club, preaching, testimonies, skits, and other talents to share the gospel in a nearby village as well as in orphanages, a boys’ home, and an elderly home. Our team included families with kids as young as 7, who did a lot more than just play with the local kids at bible club. They worked hard all week, whether sharing the gospel or shoveling concrete. We are thankful that TTUM continues to minister in the village where we served! God tells us ‘so shall my Word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.’” Isaiah 55:11

“After two different mission trips working with TTUM in Trinidad with Vertical Generation, our high school worship and arts ministry, I would highly recommend this ministry! Our students loved the ministry opportunities they arranged...from the backyard bible clubs, to the concerts and ministry in schools, the prison, the assisted living centers, the orphanages, and the churches. As well as being very detailed and organized in everything they did, this ministry shared our desire to give our team opportunities to share the gospel and the love of Christ with those we met. Our students are still talking about the experiences we shared there of seeing God at work in Trinidad! Pastor Bachew and Jen Bachew and the entire team exceeded our expectations and I look forward to bringing more teams to minister with them in the future!”
Richie Kingsmore, Director of Vertical Generation Music Ministry, North Carolina
“We took a team of high school seniors to partner with TTUM 3 years ago, and we're excited to go back this summer. Their team of pastors and leaders did a great job hosting and organizing our mission trip. We loved working with them. Their passion for the gospel was contagious. God has and continues to use them in great ways to reach their culture for Christ.”
Mark Miller, Youth Pastor, First Baptist Church, Branson, MO
"Our three mission trips with TTUM have been amazing. The trips were always well coordinated with lots of variety in the ministry activities and so many opportunities, no matter what the talents were on our team. We especially appreciated that TTUM could accommodate our "all ages" teams and everyone has been so blessed by these trips."
Valerie Vanderford, Portland, Oregon
“Our church has been connected to Trinidad and Tobago Urban Ministries since our first team went down in the early 90’s. It was by accident that we ran into Pastor Bachew, but he directed our group and made it possible for us to minister the gospel. We have returned with teams ever since, and have loved partnering with this ministry. We are thankful for the work they continue to do, and we look forward to many more years of working alongside TTUM in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.”
“Our Church has brought a short term missions team every year of 25-30 people for the past 5 years to Trinidad, and we love to stay at Urban Ministries. They provide 3 meals a day, a Ministry guide to help plan your outreach and go and assist you, they line up transportation, even line you up with several different churches, half way houses, nursing homes, homeless shelters, youth prisons, Orphanages, Partner with local Churches to do tent revivals, just about anywhere you want to go and do outreach, they line up the contacts for you, and make everything very easy. All you have to do is arrive at the airport, they pick you up and take care of everything from there. TTUM is a very safe place to stay, and has the best staff you will ever meet. Through TTUM we have seen over 1000 people come to know the Lord over the last 5 years, and we look forward to partnering with them for years more to come!!!”
Tim Mathews, Beltway Park Baptist Church, All For One Missions International
“TTUM is a very special place for me. For the first time, more than 10 years ago, God didn't just send me to Trinidad He placed Trinidad in my heart. Every time I come back - for 10 days or 10 weeks or two years it's always an assignment from the LORD. It's been a privilege to serve in various capacities in several different villages over the years.
Since first arriving at TTUM, I've made many Friends who have become Family. It blesses my heart to hear "welcome home" each time I return. It's not perfect but when it's God's will - that makes it perfect. TTUM is my home away from home.”

“The two Trinidad trips were the most amazing times that facilitated growth in my life and developed a vision of serving the Lord in a daily walk...wherever HE leads. My trip with the Asbury College students was extremely special for me because I was honored to spend their spring break serving and assisting with special needs children at a school. Since my daughter Kristen was also on the trip it was awesome to go on spring break with her!!! Truly Trinidad is a beautiful country that shows kindness to visitors, but is realistic about differences in what people believe and who they believe in. Learning about the practices of people that put their faith in statues and other practices was very sobering and eye opening to a culture that doesn't know of the saving grace and mercy of our Lord Jesus. The experience received by the Urban Ministry compound and staff was organized and efficient. The Lord and His work is the priority. Education of the students assists with giving a heart for the people on the island and a vision of how to love and show Christ to them. I hope to return someday and be honored again to assist in His kingdom work on the beautiful island of Trinidad. I hope to make it over to Tobago as well. God Bless you in all you do!!”
